ESDS training
ESDS run a variety of training events including workshops and courses for users at varying levels of expertise. Training events
are advertised on the Forthcoming ESDS Events web page as they arise. Our training portfolio includes:
- introductory workshops on 'How do I get started?' to demonstrate searching the ESDS website, registering for data, exploring data online, downloading and carrying out analyses
- 'data confrontation' sessions on particular survey series datasets
- short courses on data handling and analysis in SPSS and Stata
- topic-based courses drawing on a range of data based on the key themes
- courses on the hierarchy of complex data, linking records over time and weighting data
- training on best practice in managing and sharing data
ESDS collaborates with other social science resource and information providers to host training events. Any organisation interested in hosting a training event should
