Explore Edwardians data

It is possible to explore the Edwardians data collection (Family Life and Work Experience Before 1918, 1945-1978) in many ways.

To gain an overview of the data collection, it is possible to explore the interview summaries for each individual. This is explained in more detail in the search summaries section. Some interview summaries also provide further links to other interview material (e.g. letters, etc.) where available.

A number of interview transcripts have also been fully digitised and it possible to carry out keyword searches on these transcripts. Further detail can be found in the search transcripts section.

The transcripts were also originally coded by themes and it is possible to browse the interview transcripts by theme. This functionality can be found in the browse themes section.

Small extracts of several interview transcripts have been digitised from the original audio cassettes. These are available in the multimedia section where it is also possible to browse a gallery of photos from the Edwardians era.
