Forum: Qualitative Social Research : Call for papers

Article dated: 15 July 2004

A thematic issue is planned for January 2005 publication on Secondary Analysis of Qualitative Data

The editors will be Louise Corti (University of Essex), Libby Bishop (University of Essex) and Andreas Witzel (Universität Bremen).

Archived qualitative data are a rich and unique yet often unexploited source of research material that can be probed for methodological insights, reanalysed, reworked, and compared with contemporary data. This FQS thematic issue aims to debate the methodological, ethical and theoretical considerations relating to the secondary analysis of qualitative data. In the first instance, the editors would like to consider papers that either present case studies based on re-using qualitative data, or those that draw out the strengths and weaknesses of particular secondary analytic approaches.

Deadline for paper submission: 15 October 2004
