View data in person

The majority of 'virtual' datasets catalogued by ESDS Qualidata are only available as in non-digital format, e.g. paper or audio-tape. As such an appointment must be made with the archive where the data is held (e.g. National Social Policy and Social Change Archive at Essex).

Contact details for each archive are given in the catalogue record for the particular dataset.

Please note that in general these archives will require advance notice of your intention to view data and may require that you prove that you are a bona fide researcher.

ESDS Qualidata has been collaborating with users of some of these archives to digitise collections as part of their research awards. We are very happy to consider any requests for digitisation that can be supported by researchers' own grants.

Should you require any assistance please contact ESDS Qualidata: qualidata@esds.ac.uk
