Farm Business Surveys: updated editionsArticle dated: 7 April 2010 Updated editions of the Farm Business Surveys (FBS), from 1982/3 to 1997/8, have recently been added to the ESDS collection. The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and the Duchy College Rural Business School, University of Exeter, have undertaken a programme to compile older datasets in the FBS series into MS Access databases, both to improve usability of the data and compatibility with the later FBS waves that are already available in MS Access format. Additional documentation, similar to the files available with current FBS surveys, has also been provided.
