Access to ELSA datasets

The data and documentation can be accessed from: English Longitudinal Study of Ageing datasets.

Free access to study descriptions, online variable lists and online documentation, including questionnaires is available to all users and does not require registration. Registered users (see Login/register) can download datasets (usually in SPSS, Stata or tab-delimited formats) or place an order (if unable to download, or if a different format or a CD is required).

Charges

All users using data for non-commercial purposes can obtain the data at no cost. If data are requested on portable media e.g. CD, handling and postage and packing fees will apply. See Charges.
