ESDS International runs a programme of training events for users at varying levels of expertise aimed at promoting and facilitating increased and more effective use of international datasets in research, learning and teaching across a range of disciplines. If you would like us to deliver a free training course at your institution, please contact the ESDS International team.

The following courses are currently available from ESDS International:

• Area Studies workshops. Three workshops on using ESDS International data in Latin American, Chinese, Japanese, Indian and Russian Studies will take place at the University of Oxford, 10-11th November 2011. Each workshop will include a presentation on the service and hands-on activities. Please contact Rachel Murphy in the Faculty of Oriental Studies if you wish to attend one of these workshops.
• Introduction to ESDS International and hands-on workshop, Northumbria University, 3rd November 2011, 1pm-4pm (for Northumbria staff/researchers only). Location: Zones4Learning Room 3, Floor 1 of the Library, just off the Lift Lobby. Please contact Elaine Scotland to register for workshop.
• Introduction to ESDS International. Talk at SOAS, 07 December 2011, 3pm. Please contact Satoshi Miyamura if you wissh to attend.
