Beyond 20/20 Web Data Server (WDS)

Beyond 20/20 Web Data Server (WDS) can be used to display, subset and download data, runs on a standard web browser, is accessibility compliant, is used by many governmental and intergovernmental organisations for the dissemination of time series and is emerging as the standard software for the delivery of this type of aggregated data.

System requirements

To ensure you will be able to successfully run version 8.0 of Beyond 20/20 Web Data Server (WDS), view the system requirements below. If you do have any problems running the program, please do not hesitate to contact us at international@esds.ac.uk

  • One of the following web browsers is required, with JavaScript enabled:
    • Internet Explorer, version 6.0 or later.
    • Firefox, version 2.0 or later.
    Note: If ActiveX is not enabled in Internet Explorer the following features will not work properly: viewing PDF files; viewing Flash tutorials. To enable ActiveX, select Enable under Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins in the Internet Security Settings.
  • A Microsoft Windows operating system that is capable of running one of the supported browsers.
    Note: The Macintosh operating system (Mac OS) is only supported when running Netscape 7.2, Firefox 1.0.7, or later versions of those browsers.
  • A monitor with the following characteristics:
    • Screen resolution of 800x600 or greater. The optimum resolution for all purposes is 1280x1024 or greater.
    • 16-bit color or greater.
