Cross-national survey research
ESDS International is developing a resource for researchers analysing cross-national survey data. The
resource will advise novice users of the advantages and disadvantages of undertaking comparative research and
enable more advanced users to extract more from the data. This complements Unit 3 of the Countries
and Citizens resource and will be further developed over the next 12 months.
Cross-national survey listings
Database of survey questions/questionnaires
ESDS International has linked up with the Survey Question Bank to allow users to search for survey documents (in PDF format) across a selection of
the major cross-national social surveys.
Where we get permission from the questionnaire owners, ESDS International plans to add http links from the PDF
documents back to the survey data wherever they are made available in an online browsing tool such as
Nesstar. We plan to add these links on a topic-by-topic basis.
The first topic chosen is Trust.
