Visualise the Millennium Development Goals
There are an increasing number of user-friendly ways to access data with the emergence of freely available online applications that allow instant visual analysis and bring potentially dry statistics to life with animated graphs and maps. The following are some of those available for the UN MDGs:

- The United Nations Development Programme's MDG Monitor Map. An excellent visualisation interface which allows you to select each MDG Goal, location and year for display on the world map.
- Gapminder's flash presentation on MDG4: Reducing Child Mortality can be viewed online or downloaded to your mac or pc.
- The World Bank's eAtlas of the MDGs is an innovative visualization of the Goals. It lets you visualize and map the indicators that measure progress toward the Goals, with clear explanations of each Goal and its related Targets as the context.
- ESDS International has developed a visualisation interface using CommonGIS to the UN MDG Goal 7: Ensure environmental sustainability. Note: An ESDS International news item of interest to users of visualisation interfaces - Bringing Statistics to Life: Making the international data world more accessible.
