New ESDS Government video guide

Downloading a subset of ESDS data using Nesstar

ESDS Government has produced a new video guide on downloading a subset of ESDS data using Nesstar. The guide uses the British Social Attitudes Survey 2009.

This video explains how to use Nesstar to:

• Select only certain variables e.g. political identification, name of daily newspaper read
• Select only the answers from certain respondents e.g. men, and/or newspaper readers
• Download the chosen subset in SPSS, Stata or other formats

Note that you can view univariate frequencies of variables in Nesstar without being registered with ESDS but you must be registered to download data.
