GHS Teaching datasets
Teaching dataset
The General
Household Survey 2001-2002: Social Capital Teaching Dataset is available
(Study Number: 5308). The dataset can help class tutors to incorporate empirical
data into their courses and thus develop student's skills in quantitative methods
of analysis and their knowledge of large-scale government surveys.

Look-up tables of GHS variables
that are consistent over time and variables that are comparable with the 2001
Census.
GHS Time Series
Dataset 1972-2004
The GHS
Time Series Dataset (1972-2004) is available to download.
The dataset was developed by ONS to
analyse trends in social inequalities. Researchers have previously been able
to access data for each individual year of the GHS but the GHS Time Series Dataset
combines each annual round of data into one dataset. It contains 71 variables
and 827,624 cases.
Topics covered in the dataset include
household composition, socio-economic status, qualifications and education,
economic activity, health consultations, chronic and debilitative illness, smoking
behaviour and household and individual demographics. It will be a useful tool
for those who want to analyse these topics over time or those who want to carry
out pseudo-cohort analysis.
Community Statistics on Income and Living Conditions
The GLF is the survey vehicle used for the 2005-2011 EUSILC in the UK. Two UK EUSILC datasets are now available.
