Education
Information on Education from the
GHS has changed significantly over time. The following Excel file provides:
(a) details of the changes to Education for the period 1972 to 2004/5. A colour
coding system is used to indicate the years where the variable categories are
the same; a change to the colour indicates a change to the categories
(b) two derived variables which are separately coloured for the period 1972
to 2004/5. The non-coloured variables in the excel file indicate existing variables
which only apply to a sub-population of the sample.
The SPSS syntax file provides syntax in order to derive each variable for corresponding
years.
The word file contains frequency distributions
for checking purposes.
