Country of Birth
Information on Country of Birth from
the GHS has changed significantly over time. The following Excel file provides:
(a) details of the changes to Country
of Birth for the period 1972-2002. The same symbol and colour indicates the
years where the variable categories are the same; a change to the symbol and
colour indicates a change to the variable
(b) recode information to create a standard Country of Birth variable for the
period 1972-2002.
The accompanying Word/PDF document
provides more detailed information about the changes over time and the standard
variable.
