NB the number of files supplied will depend upon the format in which the 
data is ordered.



Data Set Format
===============
The following data formats have been prepared by AHDS History.

*.shp shape files (8 files).

AND

*.shx shape files containing index of feature geometry (8 files)

AND

*.dbf files containing attribute data (8 files)

AND

*.sbn files (optional) containing the spatial index of the data (8 files)

AND

*.sbx files (optional) the data's spatial index for use in Adobe 
Illustrator (8 files)

AND

*.prj files (optional) that carry co-ordinate system information (8 files)

OR

*.dbf files containing attribute data (8 files)

AND

*.dxf files containing spatial data (8 files)

If requested, data may have been supplied in other formats where
practicable.



Using the Data
==============
*.dxf and *.dbf data: the user will have to link one or more attributes 
in the *.dfx files to the attributes of the *.dbf files. All files in the 
folder package_1 or package_2 have to be put into the same directory for 
working with this resource.
