Contributing to UKDA-store
If the Acquisitions Review Committee accepts your research data for inclusion into
UKDA-store, you will receive a letter specifically asking to submit data to the system.
UKDA-store is a self-archiving facility for managing and sharing research
outputs, the focus being on data. UKDA-store enables a greater number of research data outputs to be
shared by researchers, particularly in cases where the UK Data Archive may not have the
resources to acquire and store these data, or where the data simply do not fit
the Archive’s collections development policy. The UKDA-store system can also link
to other kinds of outputs, such as academic publications held in existing
repositories. This includes existing publications held in the
ESRC Research catalogue which holds primary outputs such as publications
arising from research grants.
The first phase of UKDA-store is geared towards ESRC award holders who are
required to offer data outputs for sharing under the terms of their award
contract.
