Other researchers

ESDS welcomes any datasets that are suitable for use in research and teaching and that fall within the thematic scope of its data collections, to be offered for archiving with the UK Data Archive. The data collection covers the wider areas of social sciences, economics and humanities, as well as the societal aspects of environmental and medical data.

Researchers who are not funded by ESRC, but who would like to archive their data or who are contractually obliged to share their research data, can contact acquisitions@esds.ac.uk or telephone +44 (0)1206 872974.

  • British Academy award holders should follow the same procedures as ESRC Award Holders for offering and depositing data
  • regular depositors, such as those submitting government series data, should contact acquisitions@esds.ac.uk or telephone +44 (0)1206 872572

ESDS expects all offers or deposits of data to have been prepared in consultation with the UK Data Archive's best practice guidance on managing and sharing data
