How to access data
Access to the Data Catalogue, including online documentation such as questionnaires, does not require registration. However,
to download any data you must register, agree to an End User Licence (EUL) and provide details of your intended use. Access restrictions
may apply to some users/usages and details can be found in the relevant catalogue record.
Note: only users at UK institutions of higher and further education (UK HE/FE) can access ESDS International macrodata or data from the
ESRC Census Programme.

Are you from a UK university or college (a UK institution of higher or further education) or an institution which uses federated access management?
|
| YES |
NO |
You will already have a username and password issued to you by your institution.
Use this to log in using the Login link at the top
of every web page, then select 'Login via UK federation'.

To check whether your institution is part of the UK Access Management Federation (UKAMF) consult this list of
federation members.
If you do not have a username and password issued by a UK HE/FE institution, or your institution is not a member of the UKAMF,
you will need to apply for a UK Data Archive username and password.
When this has been supplied to you, log in using the Login
link at the top of every web page, then select 'Login via UK federation'.
If you are a UKDA-store user or contributor, log in to UKDA-store.
