  • Change in age-specific health status over time – Dr Jennifer Mindell (UCL – Epidemiology and public health). March 2012
I plan to compare sex- and age-specific health status in HSE 1991/92 with HSE 2010; for example longstanding illness and self-reported general health; as there is a governmental assumption that age-specific ill-health is remaining constant despite large increases in life expectancy. Uses: HSE

  • Comparison with Experian – Mr Peter Woodhouse. March 2012
We currently get food expenditure data through Experian. It would be useful to see if Experian actually add any extra benefit or do they just repackage the raw data. This could potentially lead the Co-op to using ONS data directly rather than continue to use data through Experian. Uses: EFS
  • Econometrics Undergraduate Coursework – James Godwin. March 2012
I'm a student who has been assigned a term paper for an econometrics course which requires that students find a unique dataset on which to perform and interpret regressions in Stata. Uses: EFS
  • Project Scotland – Ms Jackie Palmer (National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) – Data Management). March 2012
We plan to conduct some initial basic analyses of trends over time in economic activity and household circumstances for young people aged 16 to 30. Subsequently, we may look to see how these vary across different population sub-groups (e.g. by gender, age within 16-30 age group, region, etc.) Uses: APS
  • Input into establishment of smart metering in GB – Mr James Bennett. March 2012
This data is intended to be used to provide input into the smart metering implementation programme, specifically information regarding the location of the electricity meter and building types, in order to inform participants in the programme of the challenges they face to connect smart meters in all households in GB to the smart metering system.
